WHAT WE DO
Our Mission
OceanSA is committed to eradicating plastic pollution from South Africa’s oceans. Since 2019, we have been selling 4ocean bracelets in limited quantities. Prior to discovering a solution to the crisis of shipping delays and costs in South Africa, we initially supported the global movement as an ambassador for 4ocean, a Florida, USA-based organisation dedicated to ocean clean-up. In 2018, we partnered with 4ocean, a global ocean cleanup movement, to sell our handmade bracelets. OceanSA ultimately intervened to alleviate the considerable challenges faced by South Africans seeking to participate in the clean ocean movement in the locally.
Our mission is simple: to promote environmental cleanliness along our coastlines, rivers, and oceans, while accomplishing MUCH MORE. You are not only directly endorsing a local ocean clean-up movement, but also a global one, as mentioned before 37% of our profits go towards 4ocean. The global ocean clean up movement.
4ocean is responsible for recovering millions of pounds of plastic and trash from the world’s oceans, rivers, and coastlines from all over the world.
The business was founded on the belief that business can be a force for good, and that the small choices we make every day, collectively, have the power to change the world.
Through OceanSA we are bringing this unique innovation to South Africa. OceanSA aims to encourage the youth and bring about change in the country by not only cleaning our beaches and oceans but also helping to create jobs and inspiring young people to make better and healthier decisions for the future.

Saving the ocean through bracelets
We construct our bracelets from plastics found in the ocean. Having obtained multiple manufacturing patents in South Africa. We successfully facilitated the participation of South Africans in this worldwide movement. Wearable symbols, their purpose is to incite conversations regarding plastic pollution and serve as a tangible prompt to individuals to adopt ocean-conscious behaviours in South Africa, such as recycling and avoiding single-use plastics.
Constructed from plastic and other raw materials gathered from nearby coastlines and oceans, each of our bracelets is unique.
OceanSA oversees a substantial continuous ocean cleanup initiative in South Africa, deploying full-time personnel to diligently cleanse the nation’s shorelines, rivers, and oceans.

We contribute to environmental restoration and protection in order to foster a more sustainable planet and nation. While achieving complete resolution is unattainable, it is possible to make progress in some way.
In communities where plastic pollution and job constraints have negatively impacted the livelihoods of our people and means of subsistence, we establish equitable, gratifying careers which are both fulfilling and fair.
